Ph.D.-position in Experimental Biodiversity Research/Entomology

We are looking for a highly motivated Ph.D.-student with a keen interest in biodiversity and entomology. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing plant-insect interactions in the framework of the Jena Experiment (www.the-jena-experiment.de). In this experiment, experimental grassland communities have been created where plant species richness ranges from one to 60 species. Please visit our website for more information about the project.

Candidates must have a Diplom or M.Sc. in Biology, Ecology, Zoology or a related field. The candidates should be skilled in field and lab work and must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary context. Working skills in German and English would be an advantage.

The successful applicant may become a member of the International Max-Planck Research School (IMPRS) "The Exploration of Ecological Interactions with Molecular and Chemical Techniques”.
