The year 2009 will be the start of the European Research program ?Conflicting demands of land use, soil biodiversity and the sustainable delivery of ecosystem goods and services in Europe? (SoilService). The main objective of this program is to understand how land use will change soil-related ecosystem services and how this may affect the resilience and resistance of ecological-economic systems. We seek a candidate for the sub-project ?Food web structure and functioning: the development of a theoretical framework to link soil biodiversity to soil ecosystem services?.


Requirements:
Candidates should have a background in theoretical ecology. There is a preference for candidates that have realized a PhD-thesis, but we are willing to consider also candidates with a MSc-thesis in a relevant subject.

Conditions of employment:
A full time position(1.0 fte) for 3 year(s). Salary depends on knowledge and experience. Maximum salary amount in 3755 Euro's a month (gross) (scale 10) based on a fulltime employment.

Location: Biometris, Wageningen University and Research Centre (WUR).
