As part of a major initiative the Department of Biological Sciences wishes to appoint a number of outstanding candidates who will enhance existing research and teaching strengths in the environmental, evolutionary and biomedical sciences.

Professor of Conservation Biology
The successful applicant will lead significant research activity in the area of Conservation Biology and will be an inspirational teacher at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The appointee will establish and lead collaborative research across the department and wider institution, carrying out work of international standing.

Senior lecturers/lecturers
We invite applications from outstanding candidates with a proven ability to carry out independent research, to attract research funding and to teach at HE level in the areas of conservation biology; cell growth and differentiation; human nutrition (including endocrine functions).


Both individual and group applications are welcome, and successful applicants will have access to purpose-built laboratories and state-of-the-art facilities.

L/SL Salary range £30,595 - £52,086 pa.
