The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) is able to advertise for two post doctoral researchers (Grade 7 or 8 (£30747-43840) - 3-year contract, full-time). The funding is from the additional QR income as a result of the RAE 2008. DICE is seeking to appoint a Research Associate or Fellow with research expertise in biodiversity conservation and management. We are especially interested in candidates who have recently completed their PhD and can demonstrate potential to establish an impressive research record in any area of high relevance to conservation management and policy (trade, economics, rural development) or conservation science (ecology, biology).

Applications from candidates with a research focus on environmental change or marine conservation are particularly welcome but all areas will be considered.

Applicants should be capable of working with other disciplines relevant to biodiversity conservation and be able to demonstrate the relevance and impact of their research to conservation policies and objectives at national or international levels.

The information will be on the University HR web site. The closing date is Wednesday 24 March with interviews on Friday 9 April and, if necessary due to the number of shortlisted candidates, Thursday 8th April. The link to the HR job vacancies page is: http://www.kent.ac.uk/jobs/
