 Two lectureships at Roehampton

School of Human and Life Sciences

Roehampton is one of the leading modern universities for research,
which was confirmed by its outstanding performance in the 2008 RAE. It
also has one of the highest concentrations of National Teaching
Fellows in the UK.

The University is proud of its strong sense of community among its
diverse student and staff population and its tradition of academic
excellence that stretches back to the 1840s.

Roehampton?s stunning 54-acre campus beside Richmond Park is less than
30 minutes from central London.

Following an excellent result for Anthropology in RAE 2008, the
university is investing in this established area of research strength,
bringing together both biological and social anthropologists in the
new Department of Life Sciences. Two new lectureships are being
created in human ecology and social anthropology to complement and
broaden the current team of 8 anthropologists.

The appointees will be expected to contribute to research and
publication in their area of specialism. The successful candidates
will be expected to contribute to and develop teaching activities at
undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the supervision of
research students.
