PhD Position to study Tri-trophic Interactions

A 3-year PhD position is available to study the ecology of a tri-trophic system that comprises wild and cultivated beans, bruchid beetles and several parasitoid species that attack these beetles.
The PhD is part of a project within the research network "Plant survival" http://www2.unine.ch/nccr/page7654_en.html

Knowledge and experience with molecular techniques is highly desirable.

Qualifications: The candidate is expected to have some experience with insect ecology and should be highly self-motivated and capable of conducting independent field work. A period of 2-4 months per year will be spent conducting field work in Mexico. Some knowledge of the French language would be a plus.
