Vacancy for Bird Surveyors

The Macaulay Institute is seeking 2 casuals to assist with bird surveys on two projects.
(Note that one of these posts is dependent on receiving the appropriate authorisation to recruit.)
Details of the posts and who to contact are below
Two fieldworkers are sought to work on two projects: a) to work in a team of four to carry out passerine and wader surveys
on a range of sites across the Scottish uplands and b) to work alone carrying out territory mapping of Meadow Pipits
within a grazing experiment at Glen Finglas in Perthshire.
Both posts may involve early morning starts, some weekend work and working alone in remote areas.
The postholders may also be asked to assist with other duties associated with the two projects.

a) 12th April to 4th June 2010
b) 19th April to 4th June 2010

 A full driving license is essential. For post a) accommodation and travel to the field-site will be provided.
For post b) self-catering accommodation will be provided along with a car for travel to the field site.
