ISEI5 focuses on interdisciplinary research in Ecological Informatics by 
providing a forum for quantitative ecologists and biologists, environmental
scientists and agencies, mathematicians, engineers, computer and information
scientists. After holding previous ISEI conferences at Toulouse (France) in 1998,
 Adelaide (Australia) in 2000, Rome (Italy) in 2002 and Pusan (Korea) in 2004,
this will be the first ISEI conference on the American continent.
 
ISEI5 EMPHASISES ON PROMOTING NOVEL CONCEPTS AND RESEARCH ON:
-Meta Information and Semantic Webs for Ecological Data Management 
and Sharing 
-Information Processing and Transfer in Ecosystems 
-Simulating Ecosystem Behaviour by Adaptive Agents, Hybrid Models 
and Artificial Life 
-Ecological Knowledge Discovery, Clustering and Forecasting, and 
Computer Design by Bio-inspired Computation
