post-doc in theoretical ecology

Publié le par Studs

I am seeking a post-doc in theoretical ecology to work on a joint
project with Oswald Schmitz (Yale University) on the role of
trait-mediated interactions in the relationship between biodiversity
and ecosystem functioning in food webs. The post-doc will develop
theoretical models in close interaction with experimental work in an
extensively studied old-field ecosystem. Some experience or training in
theoretical or mathematical ecology is required.

The position is for two years with a competitive salary between $35,000
and $40,000 depending on experience, and will be based at McGill
University. Ecology has expanded considerably in the Department of
Biology at McGill in recent years, with a special strength in
theoretical and experimental ecology.

Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until
the position is filled. To apply, e-mail a letter of application, a CV,
a statement of research interests and arrange to have e-mailed two
letters of recommendation to me <michel.loreau@mcgill.ca>.
