Post docs Spain
There are currently opportunities to apply for 3 year “Juan de la Cierva” contracts for post-docs and 5 year “Ramon y Cajal” contracts for more established researchers to work in Spanish Centres such as ours. These are research positions without teaching obligations. The JC contracts are for candidates who completed a Phd no more than 3 years ago. The RC contracts are for candidates who completed at least 2 years ago.

At the Doñana Biological Station, we are looking to expand our Aquatic Ecology group
and I am keen to receive the CVs of people potentially interested in these positions. Our permanent staff working in aquatic systems include Juan Amat, Carmen Díaz Paniagua, Miguel Tejedo and myself. Long time fellows include Ciro Rico, Jordi Figuerola, Manuela Forero and Adolfo Marco. Postdocs include Dagmar Frisch. We have an expanding molecular lab and candidates would be encouraged to maintain links and collaborations with labs in other countries.

If you know anyone who might be interested in joining us down south, please encourage them to send my their CV as soon as possible. The most important part of the CV will be the publication list, which is best split between SCI/JCR journals and "other" publications. I am interested in receiving CVs of specialists in any branch of wetland or aquatic ecology. For candidates who have completed their PhDs less than two years ago, I am particularly interested in those working with zooplankton or submerged macrophytes.
