Canaan Valley Institute (CVI) www.canaanvi.org invites applicants for the position of post-doctoral wetland ecologist. Qualified applicants will hold a Ph.D. in a wetland related field with a record of peer-reviewed research. This position is located at CVI headquarters in Thomas, West Virginia and will participate in stream/wetland restoration, conservation and research projects. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in wetland/stream restoration, restoration economics, statistical analyses and software, GIS and remote sensing. This position requires the ability to work effectively in remote and challenging outdoor conditions involving exposure to the elements. Compensation is competitive with full benefits. Travel within the Mid-Atlantic Highlands is required; therefore candidates should possess or be eligible for a valid driver’s license and be insurable. This position will remain open until filled.
