One of our clients, an important Research Institute in Colombia, South America is searching for the position of Leading Entomologist . This position will be responsable for the research on programs on how to handle pests in crops, and will be leading a team constitudes by 6 persons.

This is the required profile:

Studies:

Degree in biology or Agricultural

Ph.D. in Entomology,

Experience:

- At least 4 years of experience after the Ph.D in programs on how to handle pests in crops

- Experience in research in projects in the area of Entomology or integrated pest - management

- Experience in studies of the dynamics of insects populations

- Publications in indexed journals

- Knowledge in population dynamics and handling of entomopathogenic

- Knowledge of agrochemicals as an alternative for pest control

- Desirable: knowledge of modern techniques to control plagues (transgenesis, biochemical or enzyme inhibitors), and molecular biology techniques.

- Desirable skills in use of remote sensing and geographic information systems for the monitoring of pest.
